Ravilia (Alexander) McMiller grew up in Silver Spring, MD and started her career in 3rd grade playing co-ed basketball. The passion for basketball was born. She was trained by her father and received a full scholarship to play Division I basketball choosing Mount St. Mary's University over Temple University and James Madison. Ravilia attended the Mount and played under the tutelage of Vanessa Blair, who is currently the Head Coach at Bethune Cookman in Florida, Marlin Chinn, Women's Head Coach at Florida International University and Mark Zacher Women's Head Coach at Norwich University in Vermont.
Ravilia, Coach Rav was the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at her Alma Mater Paint Branch High School.
Ravilia is also the co-founder of the Off Season Athletics, LLC, which is a Player Development company dedicated to student athletes, helping them strive for excellence through sports.
She is the co-founder of OSA Basketball Academy, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to student athletes, helping them to strive for excellence through sports.
Ravilia played in the Semi-Pro League at Capitol Sportsplex called the Suburban Coalition, that won the championship in 2008. Under legendary Heather Podesk and took her team to the state tournament in 1998, Ravilia played high school ball at Paint Branch High School. Ravilia has received many accolades in her basketball career and is dedicated to giving back that enormous amount of wealth to the community.
In October 2012, Ravilia became a certified Group/Personal Fitness Instructor and Health Coach
In 2013-2014 Ravilia coached the Urbana Hawks JV and Varsity middle school teams. In her first year as the JV Assistant, she and her husband, Mike McMiller, won the Mid-Maryland JV Championship ranking #1 in their division and setting an impressive 16-0 record in their first season.
The 2014-2015 season brought about a tremendous opportunity for Ravilia to become the Assistant Girls Basketball JV coach for Our Lady of Good Counsel High School. There, she and her husband Mike, JV Head Coach, in their first season went 10-4 and placed second in the very competitive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference to Paul VI. She is also a part of the Varsity coaching staff that also placed second in the WCAC to Paul VI losing by two in the Championship game held at American University.
Raviliais CPR/AED certified, she is married to Mike and has five beautiful children Kiyomi, Miku, Yuri, Mike Jr. and Jeffrey.
